If you practise alone
- Everything you upload or ask is visible only to you.
- You can delete any of it at any time, and when you leave, we erase the rest on request.
If you run chambers
- On a team plan, a brief is shared only with the juniors you invite, and never outside your chambers.
- You choose, per matter, whether a junior can view or edit.
- Remove a junior and their access ends that moment.
If you run a firm
- Administrators see members and usage. They cannot open anyone's chats or files.
- Matters belong to the firm, not the associate. When someone leaves, their shared matters stay with the team.
- Links for people outside the firm expire after an hour to a week, and can be revoked at any time.
- Every sign-in is logged.
When we can see your data
- No one at ValminAI reads your chats or files as a matter of course.
- Access happens only when you ask us for support on a specific item, or when the law requires it. Two named people can grant it, and every access is logged.
- If we are ever legally compelled to disclose your data, we will tell you first unless the law forbids it.
- Your firm can switch off support access entirely by contract.
What leaves LegalGita
- To research case law and the web, LegalGita sends search terms drawn from your question. It never sends the contents of your files.
- AI models run on Amazon Bedrock with request logging switched off. Amazon does not use your data to train its models.
- Our sub-processors are listed in the trust centre, with what each one handles.
Accounts and access
- Firm and chambers accounts are created by invitation. No one joins your workspace unless you add them.
- You can see what LegalGita has learned about how you work, and erase any of it.
Your files stay your firm's.
Private to you and the people you choose, and never used to train AI models.

Accountable under Indian law
LegalGita is operated by ValminAI Technology Consulting Pvt. Ltd., Noida, a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the Act requires.
